Step-by-step

1.

First aid course

The first aid course lasts 10 hours and is spread over two days. The first aid certificate is valid in Switzerland for six years.

2.

Eye test

Before applying for the learner’s permit, you need to take an eye test at a certified Swiss optician. The test is valid for 2 years. Bring the application form with you.

3.

Apply for a learner’s permit

At the earliest, one month before your 17th birthday. Get the application form at the road traffic office or download it online

4.

Theory test

After submitting your application, you will receive an invitation to the theory test (45 minutes, 50 questions). A maximum of 15 error points is allowed.

5.

Driving lessons

After passing the theory test, you can register with me for your first driving lessons.

6.

Traffic education course (VKU)

Mandatory course to promote traffic awareness and hazard perception. Goal: defensive and considerate driving.

7.

Driving test

As soon as you are ready, the driving school will register you for the practical test.
